Guess Who Got Her Sephora Package!

That's right, this kid. It's like Christmas morning, except I still don't have any lights or decorations up. (But now that I have a short respite from studying, you can expect some festive pictures to appear soon!)

I normally don't browse the Sephora site because they carry products that are more on the expensive side and it's just way too easy to damage my bank account when I go on there. So I pretty much never visit Sephora.com unless a) There's a really good promotion going on and/or b) I'm looking for a specific product.

This time, I went looking for the Origins Super Spot Remover, because the salicylic acid spot treatment I'm using right now just isn't that effective for me, and the Super Spot Remover gets good reviews everywhere I look.

Its active ingredient is 1.5% salicylic acid, and of course comes in simple, attractive Origins packaging. I'll definitely be reviewing this in a couple weeks once I've used it enough.

Of course, after adding that to my cart I remembered I'd been itching to try a couple other things and one thing led to another and I ended up buying two more products...
Origins Super Spot Remover, $14.50
Murad Acne Treatment Concealer in Light, $21
Origins Clear Improvement Charcoal Mask, $23
The Murad concealer comes in a creamy stick formulation, and packs 2% salicylic acid which they say helps fight your pimples while concealing them. I usually don't try to conceal my spots because I'm afraid of my concealer making the pore situation worse, but if this can hide and kill my blemishes simultaneously then I'll be pretty happy. As for the charcoal mask, there is no explanation other than the fact that I love masks, especially masks that have clay in them, which this one does. The reviews for this mask are great all around, so I hope it lives up to its reputation!

Lastly, since this is Sephora we're talking about, I also got bombarded with free samples. I can't complain, but I have severe goo hoarding tendencies and this is not helping...
The contents of my "Mystery Bag":
Cartier Baiser Vole, Murad Intensive-C Radiance Peel, DDF Amplifying Elixir (not pictured), Sephora Instant Radiance Foundation, and Sephora Outrageous Volume Mascara.
I also picked some more free samples because you can pick three every time you order from Sephora. (Benefit products shown below, DDF Amplifying Elixir, and FAB Ultra Repair Cream)

Benefit Triple Performing Face Emulsion, It's Potent! Eye Cream, and Total Moisture Facial Cream

Fresh Sugar Kisses Mini Lip Duo
And since my birthday was this month (it fell on Thanksgiving Day this year! double the food!) I also received my Sephora Beauty Insiders birthday gift: two mini versions of fresh's super popular lip treatments. I always try them in the store and contemplate buying one, but at $22.50 for one full size lip treatment, I can never convince myself to pick one up. But I'm quite pleased with Sephora's choice of birthday gift, because these lip balms smell so good and work so well.

For what I thought was going to be a small order I ended up getting a lot of stuff! I'm so pumped to try all of this and report back to you with what I hope will be rave reviews. See you later, internet!

Disclaimer: All these products were purchased by me and I am not receiving compensation or sponsorship from Sephora or any of these brands.

Well Hello There, Internet Friends

One o'clock in the morning is the perfect time to start a blog! I should be studying organic chemistry at the moment, but as much as I love chem, it doesn't quite get my creative juices flowing. And that is exactly what I need, as the worry I'm feeling about any number of things is not something I can just drown in food. Alas...

Prior to this spur of the moment blog-creation, I've been taking advantage of some Cyber Monday, or perhaps just holiday season, deals and went and bought several new skincare products. I'm really looking forward to receiving those in the mail along with the slew of free samples that are hitching a ride as well. Hopefully, I can convince myself to bust out my camera, which I'm afraid is feeling rather neglected these days, and perhaps take a photo or two and post a review. Or something...So look forward to that!

Sadly, my writing muscles are so out of shape that typing out those two measly paragraphs has pretty much taken it out of me. Time to cuddle up with my chemistry textbook and get some sleep! Goodnight, internet.
